About Us
Tristar Homes Limited is a not for profit controlled company of Stockton Council and has been set up to take over the day to day management and maintenance of most of the council's housing stock. It started providing services in April 2002 following an overwhelming vote of support from Council tenants and leaseholders and with the approval of the council and Secretary of State.
Stockton Council still owns the housing stock and remains the landlord, Tristar Homes simply acts as its management agent for certain specified services - tenants' existing rights and responsibilities are unchanged.
The partnership between Tristar Homes and Stockton Council is enshrined in a 10 year agreement, which is reviewed annually and sets out the resource and performance requirements of both parties.
