Robert Gibson

Board Members Profile: Robert Gibson OBE, Councillor Director

Leader of the Council for 17 years, Chair of Tees Valley Development Company (4 years of its existence), Chair of Regional Assembly and the Association of North East Councils for two years, Chair of Renaissance Board, and one time Chairman of the Housing Committee.
He is Chairman of the Newtown Resource Centre Management Board and founder member and is now Chairman of the Executive Scrutiny Committee. His hobbies include supporting his local football team (the Boro), walking, and horse racing which as a member of the Lets Live Racing Syndicate generates just enough betting opportunities every year to keep him in penury!

Cllr Gibson sits on the Company's Finance and Performance Committee and the Technical Services Committee.
