Environmental Policy

Tristar Homes recognises that we have a significant role in positively changing personal behaviours, creating a culture of environmental awareness and encouraging individuals to consider the environmental impact of their actions, purchases etc.  We aim to positively raise awareness to our staff, customers, partners and stakeholders in a concerted effort to reduce overall environmental impact.

Our role is to encourage the development of a culture which reduces waste, encourages recycling and promotes more efficient and effective working practices.

Tristar Homes Environmental Policy links to Stockton Council's community plan, with a key policy aim to "Secure a safe and attractive environment for current and future generations."

The objectives of this policy are to:-

• Reduce energy consumption
• Reduce waste to a minimum and recycle materials to a maximum
• Avoid pollution of the air and improve the working environment.
• Support all members of the local community in its environmental initiatives. Help our customers to better understand the benefits associated with improved energy efficiency.
• Ensure our key partners are aware of this policy and promote the adoption of similar environmental policies.
• Train and regularly consult all employees on good environmental practices and promote / display the environmental policy widely.
• Sustain and protect the environment.
• Develop a positive culture of environmental awareness for our staff, customers and stakeholders.
• Maximise funding opportunities through government grants and private investment.
• Maximise the economic benefits that can be achieved for our customers by promoting the provision of benefits advice to potentially qualifying customers.
• Develop partnerships at a sub regional level to maximise the opportunities within the region to promote effective environmental working practices which help to create sustainable communities.
