Gas Servicing Team Comes to Tristar
Tristar Homes have welcomed 12 new employees to their team thanks to a successful bid to save jobs.
Following the recent administration of H&B, the company that carried out gas servicing and repairs on behalf of Tristar Homes, Tristar Homes and Stockton Borough Council have worked together to ensure the gas servicing programme delivered to Tristar Homes customers remains unaffected.
The team of nine gas engineers, one supervisor and two administrative staff who were previously employed by H&B to work on the Tristar Homes and Stockton Borough Council contract were able to TUPE transfer their employment across to Tristar Homes.
Tristar Homes had planned to bring the service in-house over the next 12 months; it was therefore considered appropriate to accelerate the plans.
In a bid to safeguard employment following the decision, it was all systems go to transfer the team as soon as possible.
Winston Williams, Director of Technical Services for Tristar Homes is delighted to be welcoming the new members to the team, he said;
"Thanks to the excellent teamwork between Tristar Homes and Stockton Borough Council we achieved a full and smooth transfer within one month of notification of administration, whilst ensuring the customers remained safe. Well done to all involved.

Not only has the transfer allowed us to save money but also we now have the benefit of having experienced gas engineers on our team who are already familiar with Tristar's stock. The team play a vital role in carrying out gas servicing and repairs this will certainly be of benefit to our customers."
