Honesty is the best Policy

On Monday Sept 4 2006, Peter Blackburn, a member of the House Clearance team in Care For Your Area, contacted Sue Hobbs, Tristars Void Co-ordinator based in Municipal Buildings to discuss a finding in an empty property. Whilst he was clearing the contents in St Marys Close, Victoria Estate, Stockton he had found £1940.00 in £20 notes under the bedroom carpet.

Sue contacted her manager, Karen Appleby, and the previous tenant was traced to Mandale House, Thornaby. A meeting was quickly arranged for Sue and Peter to reunite our Customer with his money. It turned out the money had been placed under the carpet by the customers brother who died a number of years ago.
