What sort of home can I have?

This depends on your circumstances and the size of your household but normally...

  • Single people will be considered for flats or bedsits.
  • Couples will be considered for flats or houses.
  • Expectant mothers or single parents will be considered for houses or flats.
  • Families with children will be considered for flats, houses or maisonettes.- (not high-rise if children under 14 years)
  • Anyone aged 60 years and over or with a confirmed medical condition which requires them to have property which provides one level accommodation, will be considered for ground floor accommodation or properties with living facilities on one level e.g. high-rise flats.
