The painting programme is made up of two specific charges, these being:
- Costs for painting works to an individual flat
- Costs for painting works to external communal areas of a block of flats
You can opt out of painting work for your own flat. However, if you do this you will be solely responsible for keeping your paintwork in good repair.
You cannot opt out of communal charges, as you will receive a benefit from the painting work carried out.
If you wish to opt out of the painting programme (specific to your flat only) you will need to put your request in writing and send it to the Leasehold Management Team.
