General Fund
Definition: The council account into which people`s council tax is paid. It used to be called the General Rate Fund. Rent money from Council tenants is not a part of this account see HRA Housing Revenue Account

GO Government Offices
Definition: Responsible for delivering government policy in the regions, they were established in response to the European agenda but have evolved to be the voice of Whitehall in the regions.

Definition: Consultation paper issued by the Government prior to making something law.
