Performance Indicators
Definition: The Government requires local authorities to publish Performance Indicators which is a report on (amongst other things) how effectively it is managing and repairing its properties.

Planned Maintenance
Definition: A system of repairs and maintenance carried out by a local authority or housing association that has been decided in advance, and accounted for in the yearly budget. Planned maintenance is often carried out on a cyclical basis (e.g. every 10 years).

Possession Order
Definition: A legal document obtained from a magistrates court by a landlord to gain possession of a property from a tenant.

Private Finance Initiative (PFI)
Definition: Is a form of public/private partnership (PPP) using private sector finance for the provision of public services through joint working. A PFI arrangement for local government is that the private sector partner may own the capital assets (your home in the case of housing PFI) as well as delivering the service.

PSG- Problem Solving Group
Definition: Borough based multi-agency meeting which looks at serious and repeated anti-social behaviour and plans responses to it.

Purpose
Definition: Describes why an organisation exists and what its business is. This is often stated in the Mission Statement
