Rent Payments
There are a number of different ways that you can pay your rent:
Option 1
Direct Debit - this is the most convenient way to pay your rent because it comes straight out of your bank account. It is also quicker and easier than paying by Standing Order. We will inform you if your rent payment changes - but with Direct Debit your bank will adjust your payments automatically. Even if you claim Housing Benefit you will have at least water and sewerage rates to pay and you can pay these by Direct Debit too.
- You need to complete a Direct Debit Mandate Form which can be obtained from your local Tristar Office, the Income Management Team or call 0844 736 0007
- Once you have completed the form, please return it to the Income Management Team or your local Tristar Homes Neighbourhood Housing Office
- Customers payments will be taken out of their bank on the 1st or 15th working day of each calendar month (in advance)
Customers paying by Direct Debit may be entitled to be entered into the Direct Debit quarterly prize draw or may receive an incentive if they recommend a friend.
Option 2
At any Stockton Borough Council cash collection office where you can pay by cash or cheque.

Option 3
At the Post Office or any Paypoint Outlet...
- Where they will accept cash, cheque, girobank or paypoint cards.
- If you have lost your girobank / paypoint card, please complete our on-line form.

Option 4
By Standing Order...
- If you want to start paying you rent by Standing Order, you need to request a Standing Order form from your local Neighbourhood Housing Centre or Exchequer Services.
Option 5
Over the telephone by Debit Card to our Customer Service Centre on 0844 736 0007.
This line is open 08:00 till 18:00 Monday to Wednesday, 08:00 till 17:00 Thursday and 08:00 till 18:00 Friday.
If you wish to pay outside of these times you can call 0845130 3990. Calls from a landline will not be charged. Calls from a mobile will be charged at a local rate (customers with free minutes on their mobile phone will not be charged).
