How much rent is due?

Before you sign your Tenancy Agreement we will tell you exactly how much your total weekly rent charge is.

The weekly charge always includes:

• Rent
• Water and sewerage rates

It could also include:

• Furnished accommodation charges
• Heating charges
• Care Call charges
• Resident Warden charges

Rent is due on the Monday of each week.  To pay monthly this must be in advance.  For two weeks over Christmas and two weeks in April, no rent is charged. The Tenancy Agreement stipulates that all rent must be paid when due.

Every year we will advise you of what rent is due and, if any, how much Housing Benefit you are entitled to. If you have any queries regarding your Housing Benefit entitlement then you should contact Stockton Borough Council's Housing Benefit Department and advise your local Tristar Neighbourhood Housing Office that you have submitted a Housing Benefit claim.
